Lake Balaton is one of the most precious natural treasures of Hungary.

It is the largest lake of Central Europe, its length is 77 kilometres and its width ranges from 4 to 14 kilometres. On the sunlit slopes running towards the lake there has been grape and wine production going on since centuries.

The hotel, opened in 1985, lies directly on the shore of Lake Balaton.

Lake Balaton is the biggest sweet water lake in Europe with its 75 km length and 5-13 km width. The Balaton area is a popular holiday resort in Hungary offering many sport facilities and wide range of wines in the surrounding hills.

The friendly, one storied wooden building are the guests disposal from spring till autumn with its 75 rooms equipped with own bath, minibar, telephone and colour TV.

The restaurant (serving only breakfast), the drink bar gives places for dining and entertainment.

The guests can use against payment all the facilities of Danubius Hotel Helikon (e.g. restaurant with salon music, cocktail bar, drink and snack bar with terrace, bowling, brasserie, swimming pool, fitness room, rent-a-bike, sauna, solarium and biocosmetics, Danubius Travels programms, souvenir shop).
